THE CORE PHILOSOPHY
ALETHEIA TUTELA is an independent evaluation body operating under the framework of the Fidel Strub Forum. We offer objective, ground-level verification to ensure an organisation’s public-facing narratives mirror the actual experiences of the communities they support. In an era of evolving donor expectations, we provide the clear, qualitative data required to maintain genuine institutional integrity and secure public trust.
The Name & Our History
The Fidel Strub Forum was founded on a singular premise: Dignity is Not Optional. Through years of international advocacy, it became clear that raising awareness was only the first step. To truly dismantle outdated, paternalistic narratives in global health and aid, the sector needed a clear, reliable standard to measure whether institutions are truly aligning with the people they serve.
This necessity birthed the Survivor Alignment Index (SAI). We chose the name ALETHEIA TUTELA to reflect this commitment:
Aletheia (ἀλήθεια) is the ancient Greek concept of truth; specifically the active unconcealment or bringing what is hidden into the light.
Tutela is the Latin term for guardianship, protection, and safekeeping.
Together, ALETHEIA TUTELA stands for the safeguarding of transparent truth. We exist to protect donor confidence and ensure that communities remain the central protagonists of their own stories.

A Standard for Narrative Integrity
The Survivor Alignment Review is a thorough, 90-day evaluation designed to verify an organisation’s narrative consistency and community alignment.
The Review: A 90-day comprehensive analysis of public communications, and organisational governance.
The Framework: Evaluation through the Survivor Alignment Index (SAI), a proprietary matrix assessing Narrative Sovereignty, Visual Dignity, and Ethical Consistency across standardised check points.
The Deliverable: Organisations that meet these criteria receive a formal Certificate of Alignment.
Continuous SAI Oversight: A 12-month institutional monitoring service with quarterly pulse-checks of newly deployed assets to ensure long-term consistency and handle annual certificate renewals.
Donor Perspective Briefing (DPB): A targeted, 3-hour executive workshop exclusive to organisations that did not meet the SAI certification threshold, mapping out immediate tactical adjustments for fundraising teams.
Internal Alignment Diagnostic (IAD): A private internal evaluation based on the SAI to identify hidden communication gaps before they impact donor relations.
Narrative Alignment Scan (NAS): A swift, expert review of public-facing media, web, and social platforms to ensure communication is respectful and free of paternalistic tropes.
